The Mighty Oaks Foundation is a faith-based Veteran service organization that teaches combat Veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress how to get beyond combat trauma and live their lives in the manner God intended. Many combat vets are unable to reintegrate back into civilian life, leaving their families to deal with the aftermath of broken homes and suicide at times. By aligning their lives to Biblical principles, these Warriors are able to lead their families, their communities and our nation. Our mission is to serve and restore our nation’s Warriors and families, who have endured hardship through their service to America, and to help them find a new life purpose through hope in Christ and our resiliency and peer-to-peer recovery programs. For information about the program please visit the website.

Visitations and Crisis Care:

Our Pastoral Care Team would love to walk with & support you in times of crisis.

They are specifically skilled in the areas of:

  • Illness care
  • Crisis care

Any of our trained volunteers can come to pray with you in your hospital room, nursing facility, or home. Our Pastoral Care Team will help point you to Jesus as you journey through hard times.

There are seasons in all our lives where we could benefit by talking through the complexities of life with someone else. Local Church desires to provide our church family with the opportunity to discuss those challenges with biblically based trained Christian lay counselors. Lay Counselors do not take the place of a professional counselor; rather this is a place to seek resolution for issues before they become large and complex. The lay counselor team is a group of individuals who are gifted, trained and feel called to walk alongside the body of Christ during times of trial. Our lay counselors have completed in depth training and undergo continuing education and supervision. They will operate under the same code of ethics as professional counselor to ensure a safe and confidential environment.

Lay Counseling is available to Local Church individuals or couples that have been regularly attending for the last 3 months. If you have not been regularly attending Local Church, we invite you to check out our Counseling Referrals tab for a list of local professional counselors.

Questions:   care@localchurch.tv

Cost is $20 for the first session, $10 for each subsequent session. These fees are not tax deductible and go to offset the cost of the lay counseling ministry.
